Alphabet Skin Care Creams

One of the biggest new trends in beauty is alphabet creams, BB, CC and DD creams for the skin.

What is the real difference ?

The initials “BB” stand for “beauty balm.” These products are multi taskers: flawless hydrating primer, light foundation, moisturiser and broad spectrum sunscreen all in one, with built in anti-ageing properties.

A “CC” cream stands for “colour corrective” and contains a skin brightening primer, light foundation, moisturiser, sunscreen, anti-ageing ingredients and sometimes collagen boosters.

The BB cream tends to be a bit heavier and better for dry skin, with a focus on prevention and maintenance, while the CC cream tends to be a tad lighter (so better for acne-prone skin) and focuses on concealing existing issues.

The “DD” cream stands for Daily Defense/ Dynamic Do All. Great for large pores and uneven skin tone.It soothes blemishes and reduces redness whilst still being a lightweight primer with broad spectrum sunscreen.
